Stein Inge Braekhus is an independent drummer who has played with some truly great artists, such as: Al Grey, Paquito D`Rivera, Jim Beard, Richard Bona, Bob Mintzer, Andy Sheppard, Eddie Daniels, Arne Domnerus, Rune Gustafsson, Louis Stewart, Jan Lundgren, Karin Krog, John Surman, Ralph Towner, Paolo Fresu, Bendik Hofseth, Kenneth Sivertsen, Diana Krall, Mick Ronson, Julia Zenko, Neil Sedaka. And norwegian artists he has toured and recorded with artist as Åge Aleksandersen, Bjørn Eidsvåg, Jan Eggum, VAMP, Silje Nergaard, Helene Bøksle, Trio de Janeiro, Cutting Edge, Brazz Brothers, Henning Sommero. At present, he collaborates in a wide range of genres in music from jazz, rock, world music to electronica in settings like: SUBTRIO w. John Pål Inderberg, Ole Marius Sandberg Quartet, Subtrio, Cirrus, GunderZheng, Stain Monsters, Johan Sara Jr., Organ Jam, The Knitting Club, Nils Olav Johansen, Ivar Kolve Trio, The Good The Bad & The Groovy, Bryggerigangen Bluesband, Hans Petter "HP" Gundersen and TAZANO, with tanzanian kalimba maestro Anania Ngoliga. Besides being a busy performing and touring musician, he is also Associate Professor at the Faculty ofn Performing Arts, University of Stavanger, Norway.
