Derek Joson is the drummer of progressive metal band The Parallax, and punk rock band The Neo Lux. His online presence earned him the Musician of the Year award as part of the Mississauga Music Awards in 2021. From his home studio, he performs drum covers of all genres, predominantly metal, rock, and J-pop on his YouTube channels, earning the attention of labels and the artists themselves. It is there that he also conducts session work and live streaming.
