Mike Nelson a independent drummer from Philadelphia aka (Philly). He's a dynamic gifted and dedicated musician, producer and song-arranger which all began at a young age 3 to be exact. Currently preparing to travel with artist Wiz Khalifa, he also traveled the World with National Recording Artist Tye Tribbett, Jessica Reedy, Grammy Award Winner Robert Glasper, Nikki Jean, Dj Bo Birch, Kenny Latimore, Avant, Eric Robertson, Corey Latif Williams, Elle Varner & currently Musical Director for Carol Riddick.

He draws inspiration from musical greats Eric "Booty" Greene, Rashid Williams, George "Spanky" Mccurdy, Brian Frasier Moore, Darrell Robinson, John Roberts, Jojo Mayer, Mike Portney, Dennis Chambers, Dave Weckl, Buddy Rich just to name a few. While influenced by these artists, Mike developed a distinct drum style that is both vibrant & aggressive.

His playing no longer consist of chops, but has become an act of worship, his exhilarating beats helps move people. Under the leadership of Pastor Darius Daniels he has learned healing, delivering and awesome power released through praise and worship.
