The brand MAPEX was coined as an acronym for Music And Percussion EXcellence and reflects our understanding of the relationship between a performer and their instrument; the hybrid of musicianship and instrument that distinguishes a great musician from a great player. Learning from tradition but willing to challenge it, we respect the heritage of drum-building craft while embracing modern science to further its evolution.

DEVELOPMENT CONCEPT

Design Lab incorporates a group of Artists, Engineers and Designers forming an artistic and design incubator for new and unique professional instruments. Using one of a kind sound inspirations and conceived by a revolutionary "Concept Hybrid Formula”, the Design Lab creates unique voices, each with a combination of the artistry of instrument making and the modern science of drum design.
