Marc Friedrich, born in 1992 in Switzerland, is a professional drummer, drum teacher, bandleader, sideman and composer active in different bands such as Atomic Symphony, Souls Revival, Pillowism, Morbid Coal and ILLUMISHADE. He earned his bachelor's degree in Pop music and drums in 2017 and his master's degree in music pedagogy at the Zurich Art School (ZHdK) in 2019. He offers private drum lessons since 2016 in Uster (ZH) and teaches drums and cajon at the music schools in Winterthur and Balterswil/Bichelsee. In totally over 200 concerts in Switzerland and tours through Germany (supporting act for Vintage Trouble) and France (in support of Birdpen) with Death by Chocolate and through Russia with Souls Revival, Marc has played as a session drummer with: Death by Chocolate / Veronica Fusaro / Hot Like Sushi / John Gailo / Ira May / Fabe Vega / Moira / Jester's Quest / Cheibe Balagan / Gospel Choir Zürich and many more. Additional musical highlights were the opening shows for Eluveitie (2016) and Cellar Darling (2019) with Atomic Symphony, supporting Ad Infinitum at Z7 with ILLUMISHADE (2021), at Openair Gampel with Jester's Quest and the very first Straight2Tape recording session at 2inchrecords with Souls Revival. He also played in the Swiss military orchestra at the 2012 Basel Tattoo as well as dabbled in the Swiss Musical Theatre industry as a drummer in shows like „Matterhorn“ (2018) and „Priscilla - Queen of the desert“ (2019) at the Theater St. Gallen.
