"Mapex has been essential in my development as a musician, and the Saturn model provides me with an unparalleled freedom of sound. Its walnut and maple construction not only delivers a deep, warm tone but also allows me to have a voice of my own.
This kit responds to my style, projecting perfect resonance and clarity in both studio and live settings. With the Saturn line, I find a balance between power and subtlety that invites me to be free and creative in every situation."

Javier Honorio is a Peruvian percussionist and producer who is redefining the sound of contemporary music. With a solid foundation from the Faculty of Performing Arts at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and music production studies at Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain, Javier has worked as a session drummer for renowned international artists such as Amistades Peligrosas, Ella Baila Sola, and Andy & Lucas. He has also collaborated with leading Peruvian projects including We the Lion, Christian Meier, Libido, and Uchpa.
His career has taken him to stages around the world in countries such as Spain, Italy, China, Colombia, Ecuador, and Mexico, creating a vibrant fusion that blends his Latin roots with a global perspective. In the studio, Javier’s experience is equally impressive, with contributions to soundtracks and albums for series and films, including Noche de patas, Herencia, No me digas solterona, and Al fondo hay sitio, always adding his distinctive touch.
In 2020, Javier launched his own drum sample library and has dedicated himself to sharing his expertise on YouTube, where his channel has become a go-to resource for drummers across Latin America. Covering topics such as tuning, live monitoring, and studio recording, his tutorials reach musicians interested in music production and the technical perfection of drumming.
Today, Javier is a member of two bands that push the boundaries of music: Chaivers, an innovative fusion of Peruvian and contemporary sounds, and Rompiendo Fronteras, where rock meets rap, hip hop, and urban rhythms, challenging traditional genre conventions. Additionally, he is endorsed by leading brands such as Paiste Cymbals, Mapex Drums, Audiotechnica Mics, AyR in-ears, and Revergel, all of which support his ongoing pursuit of sonic excellence in every project.
