Mt. Juliet, TN – August 1, 2019– Mapex, one of the leading drum brands in the world and well known for their innovation and artistic craftsmanship, is celebrating 30 years of bucking trends and shaking up conventions within the drum industry. Mapex has had a number of notable achievements since its founding in 1989, including selling world-class instruments in more than 30 countries and being selected as one the best drum brands in the world. They have also received numerous industry awards, including recognition from NAMM and Music and Sound Retailer.

But their most valued achievement has been the growing number of musicians choosing Mapex as their drum brand of choice. “From beginners to professional performers, drummers are inspired by the unique and fearless essence that Mapex offers,” says Mapex Brand Manager, Jeff Mulvihill. “We encourage every player to find their artistic expression with Mapex and to never compromise on quality.”

Many world-reknowned drummers, including Russ Miller, Jeff Hamilton, and Chris Adler, use Mapex drums exclusively. “Mapex has been making great instruments for such a long time," said Russ Miller, “I’ve been happy to be a Mapex artist since 2012 and I’m looking forward to many more years.”

To mark their 30th anniversary this year, Mapex is releasing 300 limited edition drum sets and 600 limited edition snare drums. The all-maple limited edition drum sets are modeled after the classic Mapex Orion drum set of the 90s, but with modern touches. The limited edition snare drums are a tribute to the Deep Forest walnut snare drum of the 90s and emanate a rich, dark tone.

Mapex has introduced a special website to allow everyone to follow the 30th anniversary celebration by exploring the brand history and testing their own Mapex knowledge with an online quiz. The celebration will end September 30th with a sweepstakes drawing for a Mapex limited edition drum set.
