NASHVILLE, TN, April 10, 2025... Mapex Drums proudly announces the addition of renowned drummer and vocalist Terry Scott Jr. to its family of brand ambassadors.

Hailing from the small town of Gibson, Louisiana, Terry’s journey began at the age of five, playing drums in his local church and watching his uncle perform. His early passion for the instrument soon evolved into a lifelong pursuit of musical excellence. From playing with local gospel groups to touring the world with legendary artists, Scott’s career reflects both his deep-rooted love for music and his exceptional talent.

His professional career took off when he began touring with New Orleans blues guitarist Marc Stone, which led to collaborations with New Orleans greats Walter “Wolfman” Washington and GRAMMY® winner Dr. John. Today, Scott continues to bring his dynamic energy and articulate grooves to the stage as the drummer for Marc Broussard and Eric Johanson.

Known not only for his musical precision and expressive playing, he is also a powerhouse vocalist who often lends his harmonies to artists he tours with.

On selecting Mapex for this partnership, Scott shares, “I play Mapex because of the tones I get out of the shells. They sing to me and have great resonance to them. Also, they’re some of the easiest drums to tune.”
