Marco was born on January 19th, 1982 in the city of Guayaquil. Started playing drums at the age of 14. His principal influences were classic rock, pop rock, heavy metal but, as he got into the drumming world as a self-taught artist, he tried different and more technical styles such as metal, progressive rock, fusion, jazz, brazilian, afro-cuban, latin jazz among others, developing his skills based on four-limb independence combined with a neat, subtle but powerful technique that has allowed him to become a versatile drummer.
Marco has traveled to different countries to get more knowledge about drums, education and the music industry. He has dedicated his career playing as an independent drummer, clinician and educator. He is constantly influencing and inspiring young musicians to get involved in the world of drums all over the country.
In 2014 founded his own drum company named ‘MCDRUMS’ that includes a specialized drum school, a recording studio and a drum store. Nowadays, ‘MCDRUMS’ is recognized by the drummer’s community as one of the most important drum organizations in Ecuador.
