The festival is held in Melbourne, Australia. She has worked hard to divulge Brazilian Music around the world by performing and giving clinics and masterclasses about Brazilian Rhythms. She has played in some of the greatest international drum festivals: Percfest Memorial Naco, Drum Ladies Fest and PAS - Percussive Art Society (Italy), AUDW | Australia's Ultimate Drummers Weekend (Australia), Mendoza International Drum Fest (Argentina), PercuSonidos Festival Internacional de Percusiones and Laguna Drumfest (Mexico), AGP Drum Event (Luxembourg), Days of Percussion (Sweden), Drum Fest – Primer Festival Internacional de Batería y Percusión (Chile), Cape Breton International Drum Fest (Canada), KOSA International Drum Event and PASIC – Percussive Arts Society Convention (USA). Creator and artistic director of the Brazilian main festival on drumset and percussion. With fifteen editions and two albums accomplished, the Batuka! Brasil fits its role as a national culture and international interchange diffuser, by combining concerts, workshops and performances of Brazilian and foreign artists.

It was love at first sight. Mapex had the sound I was looking for and I started wondering about its drum set specifications that could attend to my playing. Dom Famularo played an important role in my decision. He used to say “Vera, you should be with us!” and these words always sounded great to me. The support of Alec and Alfred Haiat from Habro Music was important as well. And then Mapex became a dream come true.
