My name is Rahul Hariharan and I've been drumming since 2002. As a self taught drummer, I've worn many hats before getting to where I am today.
I started my drumming journey with Bhayanak Maut in 2003, and have been a part of the band ever since. Bhayanak maut today is India's premium heavy metal band, known for it's explosive and relentless sets. In our time, we've toured extensively in India and even played at the prestigious Inferno
Metal Festival (Oslo) in 2011.
In 2010, I decided to take up drumming as a career. From then to now I've been involved with a variety of acts like Neha Kakkar (Bollywood), Shankar Ehsaan Loy (Bollywood), Siddharth Mahadevan (Bollywood), Diljit Dosanjh (Punjabi), Jeffrey Iqbal (Bollywood), Amit Mishra (Bollywood), The Raghu Dixit Project (Folk Rock), Sharma and the Besharams' (fusion/electro), Pentagram(Electro rock), Benevolent - UAE (Heavy/Progressive Metal), and Bombay Metal Project (Epic cover band) to name a few. And of course, Bhayanak Maut.
Currently, I endorse Mapex Drums, Meinl cymbals, Pro-Mark sticks and Evans drum heads. I balance my time between a hectic live touring schedule with multiple artists and studio/recording work at my own personal studio space.
