The Missouri State University band program has a rich history of success on and off campus. Ensembles in the band program have performed at the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic; Missouri Music Educators Association In-Service Workshop/Conferences; Missouri Bandmasters Association Conventions; College Band Director National Association Conventions; and the Bands of America Regional, Super Regionals, and Grand National Competitions. Consisting of three concert bands - as well as the University-Community Band and the Springfield Youth Wind Ensemble - the 330+ member Pride Marching Band and Bear Mania basketball pep bands, the extensive band program at MSU is a focal point of the university landscape.
