At the age of 33 years old, Michael Davila is a talented, creative, musical, hard-working musician who won the Drummer of Tomorrow Global Finals at Musikmesse in Frankfurt, Germany.

By winning this competition, Michael Davila received a full endorsement with Mapex Drums, the prestige of being called the Drummer of Tomorrow Global International Winner along with some schooling at Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, California.

At the early age of 4, Michael began to play the drums with his father’s band in California. He also got involved with marching band and jazz band in middle school and high school.

By the age of 18, he was an independent musician playing with different bands in Texas. In the beginning of his career, well-known drummers like Chris Adler, Chris Coleman, Dom Famularo, Chris Pennie, Damien Schmitt, Tony Coleman, Rashid Williams & Joseph Hibbs have taken the time to share and encourage Michael of the talent they have seen in him.

Michael Davila is presently performing with guitar legend David Grissom and his own band Open2.o.
