Louisa Amott, a fourth-generation drummer was raised in a house of rock and roll, with her father (the late Peter Amott - Stray, The Mustangs) regularly sharing stages with The Who and Iron Maiden.
Spending time working with Joe Barbosa III (Tarpan Studios - Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Elton John), she honed her drumming chops and began her drumming career sharing the stage with Turin Brakes (Astralwerks) and Novastate.
More recently, her band "The Color Canvas" has topped the US Indie album charts (BDS Neilsen) and appeared in the top 40 of the Hot AC for her single "Love Your Life".
Currently, she and The Color Canvas are working on their new record alongside Grammy-winning producer Jason Livermore (Rise Against, NoFx, No Use For A Name).
Independently, Louisa also spends time supporting other artists in their projects and writing/producing syncs for TV & film.
