After graduating from Musicians Institute in 2000 Karl joined the Los Angeles based melodic metal band Steel Prophet. Karl is featured on two Steel Prophet records, both released by Nuclear Blast Records. In 2004 he joined The Chelsea Smiles, another Los Angeles Based rock band signed to EMI/Capitol Records. Karl toured extensively with the band and played drums on all three of the bands releases. In 2007 he joined Danzig as the touring drummer and has also been featured on two Danzig records. He was also the drummer on the Son of Sam record "Into the Night". A band that featured members of Danzig and Samhain. In 2009 Karl was part of the Cheap Trick Sgt. Pepper show that had a residency in Las Vegas where he played drums for Joan Osborne and other artists. In 2010 Karl joined Michael Monroe's band and has played on four Michael Monroe releases (Universal Records) and continues to record and tour internationally with the band. Karl has also recorded and worked with members of Body Count, Stone Sour, The Hellacopters, Guns n' Roses, Misfits and Monster Magnet to name a few.
