Jake Barnabas is currently the drummer of UK band The Luka State. Who released their debut album "Fall in Fall Out" with BMG music group in 2021 which went to #14 in the charts and #30 in the vinyl charts. While touring the album comprehensively across the UK, Europe and the US they went on to make their French national television debut on Taratata. Following a label change to Thirty Tigers, the band have embarked on preparations for their second at album "More Than This" where they have decided to focus their attention in the press to themes on the album which include highlighting the foodbank situation in the UK, with an aim of bringing change. They even donated their music video budget to the Trussell Trust in an attempt to impact in a way they could. Beside the band Jake is an educator working for a social enterprise called Hot House music who's aim is to positively improve the lives of young people through the transformative power of music, as well as partnering Hot House and overseeing educating young drummers in the Manchester area. Jake has written a drum book for Hot House music due for release in early 2023 focussing on all topics surrounding "The Modern Drummer".
