At the age of 26 years old, Michael Davila Jr is a talented, creative, musical, hard working musician that won the Drummer of Tomorrow Global Finals in 2012 at Musikmesse in Frankfurt, Germany.

By winning this competition, Michael Davila received a full endorsement with Mapex Drums, the prestige of being called the Drummer of Tomorrow Global International Winner along with some schooling at Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, California.

At the early age of 4, Michael began to play the drums with his father’s band in California. He also got involved with marching band and jazz band in middle school and high school.

By the age of 18, he was an independent musician playing with different bands in Texas. In the beginning of his career well known drummers like Chris Adler (Lamb of God), Chris Coleman, Dom Famularo, Chris Pennie, Damien Schmitt, Tony Coleman (BB King), Rashid Williams (John Legend) & Joseph Hibbs have taken the time to share and encourage Michael of the talent they have seen in him.

Michael Davila Jr is presently performing as an independent musician. He is playing in venues all over Texas, touring in the United States, and other countries.
