Larry Belton Jr., born into a family of music, Larry formed a passion for rhythmic instruments at a very young age. Following formal lessons, he began playing at church and for his high school.

At the age of 25, Larry moved to Los Angeles to pursue his passion by attending The Musician's Institute where he pushed himself to excel alongside his fellow students. Larry competed and performed in front of Stanley Clarke, George Duke, Verdine White, Howard Hewitt, Oskar Cartaya, and Vince Wilburn and won the Stanley Clark Scholarship.

In 2009, Larry graduated from The Musician's Institute with an AA in Performing Arts. Following graduation, he returned home to Sacramento where he recorded his first of three studio albums with the group Jeff Carnie & Spectrum.

In 2011, Larry joined Jason Derulo's band and immediately played on the 2011 Teen Choice Awards, followed by Ellen (Degeneres), and The Halo Awards. Within a month of his debut with Derulo, Larry traveled to London to play at Sainsbury's Super Saturday for platinum-selling artist, Taio Cruz. With Cruz, he played for the X-Factor in Germany, AOL Sessions, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, NBC's Giveback Awards, and for Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve Show.

Larry also uses his passion for music to help children. He has spoken at various elementary schools in the Elk Grove Unified School District where he educates children about their potential, the importance of school, and how music and math go hand in hand.

Currently, Larry is working on his solo project "Dir Madd" drumming/DJ while building his business, playing with various artists, and cultivating his knowledge in others.
