Hailing from Youngstown, Ohio, has 43 years of playing experience, she is also highly educated in music composition, arrangement and orchestration. Darla had the privilege to work as the drummer, bandleader, road manager and head of fan club operations for country music duo "The Lynn's", the daughters of Loretta Lynn, for three years early in her career. Darla was signed as an artist on Asylum/Curb Records from 2003-2006 and has numerous endorsements. These endorsements include Mapex Drums, Pro-Mark Drumsticks, Sabian Cymbals, Evans Drumheads. Through her touring experiences, Darla has had the opportunity to share her musical talents in many different countries including playing for our troops overseas, the King of Morocco, and playing in Switzerland, Italy, Paris, Greece, Norway and Japan to name a few. In 2005, Darla was asked to play on the Country Music Awards with Terri Clark. In 2007 she received a gold record for her song she had co-written "Loud" that was a single release by country music artists Big & Rich on their album "Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace." She has played for Daryle Singletary, John Ford Coley, Lorrie Morgan, Mila Mason, to name a few. To date, Darla has had many esteemed accomplishments during her career, including the Congressional Record of Honor, Who’s Who in Music, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who amongst Women. She currently owns and runs Misstyx Studio, an Artist Management company, Booking Agency, her own Record Label, (Big Bucks Records), two Publishing Company’s and teaches young drummers coming up and gives Clinics. She is currently on tour as Mark Chesnutt’s drummer.
