Based in Austin, TX, Tom has been the drummer for singer/songwriter Robert Earl Keen since 1997 - making 6 studio albums and touring extensively throughout the US. Before that, he was the original drummer for the Dixie Chicks. His tenure with the chicks stretched from the original four members through the addition of Natalie Maines. In addition, he has been very active as a freelance drummer, both live and in the studio, for a variety of artists in Texas and beyond. His teaching credits include Navarro College and the BTW High School for the Performing Arts in Dallas. He has also has had numerous articles published in Modern Drummer magazine.
