I've been playing drums for 21 years. Growing up I was turned onto drummers with excellent pocket and groove. I've come to really appreciate a drummer with a great shuffle and deep pocket. I currently play drums in The Dear Hunter. The music is diverse and allows me to come up with a wide array of rhythms and textures to compliment anything from hard progressive rock to more folk styled tunes or dixieland jazz. I never stop learning and I love the challenge.
