Jake started playing drums when he was assigned to percussion in the 7th grade and fell in love with the instrument immediately. He continued scholastic percussion into high school and beyond and ultimately graduated from York University with a BFA in Percussion.
After university Jake dove head first into his drumming career with various gigs at events with the Toronto Argonauts, Toronto FC, Canada's Wonderland, WE Day Toronto, as well as a number of Toronto theater productions.
Jake is a dedicated drum instructor and coordinates the private lesson program at St. Michael's College School, where he teaches drum set and percussion. He also assists in teaching the school's drumline, concert bands, and jazz bands.
Most notably, Jake is the drummer for Toronto Rock band A Short Walk To Pluto who have attained nearly one million total followers on their social media pages. The band has been featured on The Howard Stern Show, and continues to play multitudes of shows and festivals in Canada and the USA.
