Mapex Drums is pleased to announce that Alberto Mazza has joined the Mapex Drums artist roster. 

Alberto Mazza is an Argentine drummer located in Italy since 2018, throughout his career he has toured with his own projects in different countries in America and Europe. He works hard on the divulgation of Argentine music, which he has renewed, restructuring all its rhythms, combining them with ideas from Jazz music, Afrocuban music and Brasilian music.

He is the author of the book Argentine Folk Music an Improvisation Approach, which he has presented in different schools and universities around the world through Clinics and Master Classes. He has been in the teaching field for more than 25 years.

“In their instruments, I found absolutely everything I needed: sound stability, warmth, power, versatility, and the ability to easily set up a very large kit thanks to their incredible designs.” Says Alberto. "It is highly inspiring to feel how all my musical ideas flow smoothly thanks to the outstanding quality of the instrument."

He is the founder of AM Drum School and Music Academy in Italy and creator of the AM Drum Show, held in Italy and Spain, where he performs alongside world-class drummers such as Vera Figueiredo, Claus Hessler, Anika Nilles, Benny Greb, Jojo Mayer, etc.
