Denis Popov is a Russian drummer, composer and musical educator who was born at 31st of May 1978 in Chita. He started drumming at age 7. He graduated in the Irkutsk music college from 1993 to 1998. Denis began his carreer at Irkutsk Musical Theater, where he worked on lots of different projects such as "Stikhiya". He played at more than thousand and five hundred pieces among them are "Juno and Avos", "Jesus Christ Superstar", "The Star and Death of Joaquin Murieta". He also took part in different Jazz and Electronic bands. Denis moved to Moscow at 2004 where he worked with the band Lakmus, recorded soundtrackes and took part in the project "Odd Warrior". At the same time he'd been invited to enter The Brothers Grimm band. He participated in various projects such as Alkotrio, Big Trouble, The Wheels, Extrovert, The Pilgrim Theater, Irkutsk Musical Theater, Lakmus, Bi-2, The Brothers Grimm, Korrozia Metalla, Megapolis, Tender age, Viktoria Che, Tina Kuznetsova, Nikolay Baskov, Mara, Irakly Pertshalava, I. Kobzon, V. Presnyakov, V. Meladze, F. Kirkorov, S. Pavliaahvili, The Stas Namin Theater, Eric Mariental, Tommy Emmanuel, Phill Vinal, Totr, U Phone, T. Rodrigez, A. Tsoy, Lirrika, Jigan, L. Agutin, Sergey Lazarev, Sergey Zverev and more.
