From the land of Bossa Nova and Samba, brazilian drummer Diego Mascarenhas was caught up by the world of percussion at the age of 16 after watching a live concert of Angra and bought his first drum kit, a MAPEX Venus series. After moving to Portugal in 2007, Diego got involved in the local music scene and by 2012 he kept loyal to the brand and bought another MAPEX Venus drum kit and soon afterwards, a MAPEX Meridian drum kit. Following a support act for Noturnall's european tour with Fallen Paradise, Diego becomes the newest addition to the artist roster of MAPEX IBÉRICA in 2016 and keeps is progress between 2017 and 2019 in the portuguese metal music scene with Wrah Sins (album release in 2018) and Cape Torment.
