Jason Holt was born and raised in Washington, D.C. where he began his music career at the early age of 9 years old. He attended Archbishop John Carroll SHS where he was the drum captain. After high school he enrolled at Howard University studying Music Business. Jason began his career with recording artist Mya in early 2000. After touring with Mya, he joined with J Records Artist Mario where he has credits as an international recording Drummer on the Mario “GO” European release album. After recording the “Go” album Jason continued his career with National Recording Artist Marcus Johnson where he has recorded three albums: “It’s Christmas” ”Phoenix” & “In Concert for A Cause.” As a Philanthropist and Community Activist Jason has led Good Ground Good Life’s music program as The Director of Music. With GGGL Jason have lead children in teaching them the fundamentals in Life and how to apply those principles to the drums and music.


After a successful career in the United States, Jason took hold of an experience in Beijing China where he led a Motown review for 6 months in 2007 touring at Beijing’s famous CJW’s. While in China he performed as a Rapper with Beijing’s own Zhong Mi “Mimi” on the China network seen by over 2 million people in Beijing.


After returning to America Jason had the opportunity to play with four time Grammy Nominee Ledisi. Playing with Ledisi has allowed Jason to experience the world famous Hollywood Bowl, Touring Billboard Osaka/Tokyo, The Essence Music Festival, Texas Stadium with Mint Condition and Eric Benet, and The New Orleans Jazz Festival. After spending two years with Ledisi, Mr. Holt joined with Soul Artist Allen Stone where he has been able to continue to inspire musicians and artists alike to continue to pursue their dreams. He has performed worldwide with Allen Stone at various venues, including The South African Cape Town Jazz Festival, The Vogue Theatre in Vancouver Canada, and La Maroquinerie in Paris France. Jason’s television appearances include The ESPY Awards, Late Night with Conan Obrien, Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Late Show with David Letterman. Currently Jason is on tour with Allen Stone.
