We recently interviewed Mapex artist Martijn Peters from The Netherlands. Martijn has been touring and recording on the Mapex brand for more than 5 years and clearly enjoys his craft. We asked Martijn a few questions about his kit and about his band, Stream of Passion.

In 2008, Mapex launched a drumming competition to find the “Drummer of Tomorrow”.  We had thousands of applicants from all over the world and after several months of events and countless votes cast, Josh Devine was named the 2008 Mapex “Drummer of Tomorrow”. 

So…what is the “Drummer of Tomorrow” up to these days?  We caught up with Josh at LP Field in Nashville, TN (Home of the Tennessee Titans Football team).  Josh is the drummer for the biggest pop band in the world: One Direction, on one of the biggest tours in the world and the expected crowd for tonight’s concert is 50,000 people.
