Hratch Khoreni Bedirlian is a Lebanese professional drummer well known as a member of Elefteriades Group Production since 2007 Hratch is locally known as one of the top drummers of today. He has played in several recordings for Elefteriades Group Productions with The Amazing Chehade Brothers, The Arab Gipsy Prince Bilal, The Legendary Lebanese SingerTony Hanna, Rawad Khalil, Fadia Najem, Jose Galvez, Gipsy kings, Sami Clark, Sabrene Staples, Rock Akpovo, Shab Madjid Hadj Brahim, Georges Wadih El Safi, Joe Diverio and the Italian tenor Tino Favazza. Some of those recordings, especially those of The Amazing Chehade Brothers and The Arab Gipsy Prince Bilal, stayed on the top 5 Lebanese charts for the last several years. Hratch was born in 1980 in Beirut and was schooled in the same region till he finally joined the Lebanese National Conservatory at which he mastered the study of percussions such as drums, xylophone, snare drumming, timpani along with several other Arabic percussion instruments. He started his musical journey at a local band called The Maze followed by some Lebanese and Armenian local bands and singers touring in the Middle East and other countries. He also tutored some students at some Lebanese music schools such as Hamazkayin and Mozart Chahine Music School. Currently, Hratch is performing on stage with MUSICHALL BEIRUT local band playing drums from occidental to oriental and still managing to give some private lessons to some students. As a drummer, Hratch owns quite a big number of drum sets which represents him not only as a performer, but also as a collector. His equipment varies from several brands but his favorite ones are Mapex brand specially Saturn IV, Saturn V along with the Black Panther series snare drums which he’s been using for the last ten years accompanied with REMO Ambassador Coated drum heads and Remo Powerstroke 3 coated on base drums. His favorite drumsticks are Vic Firth 5A American classic. As for cymbals, for the last ten years, he’s been satisfied with Bosphorus Cymbals mostly mixing between New Orleans, Turk, Antique, Latin and EBS series. These brand are always recommended by Hratch to all the backliners he works with making him more comfortable with the kits he works with.
